Life Coaching
Crossover Coaching is excited to offer Christian Life Coaching to East Texas!
What is a Life Coach?
A life coach is certified to be a life specialist in a particular area. He or she motivates and empowers a client towards achieving specific personal developmental goals while discovering their personal life-purpose and growing toward greater fulfillment.
Philosophy and Goals of Crossover Coaching
Life coaching is not counseling. Therapy focuses on analysis and interpretation. The emphasis in coaching is on challenging how a client experiences life and focuses on the client’s present and future goals. In fact, life coaching is an investment in the future. Even though coaching is friendly and compassionate, unlike talking to a friend, coaching offers undistracted listening and responses that are honest, objective and have no hidden agenda. A coach will utilize resources to assist the client in developing and pursuing their personal vision so that positive and permanent results can be achieved. A client will be taken through the coaching process in which creative and meaningful action plans are compiled. This is based on the overall intentions and desires of the client. Most clients who seek coaching are healthy, successful and well-adjusted individuals who are ready to make a change in their lives and are taking proactive steps toward making advancements in certain areas. This leads to greater fulfillment and satisfaction.
As coaches, our goals are three-fold:
To help clients learn positive strategies and skills that will facilitate a more meaningful and productive life.
To encourage clients to identify hindrances and barriers to personal growth and greater life fulfillment.
To assist with presenting helpful resources which will aid in the client achieving his or her life goals.

Confidentiality
Our clients’ trust is very important to us. We do not give out clients’ names or contact information without prior permission from the client. Sessions are not discussed unless done so anonymously with a trusted professional to better serve our clients. If we believe someone’s life is in danger, the appropriate authorities will be contacted. There are times a teenage will reveal information they do not want their parents to know or do not feel comfortable disclosing information to them on their own. In this situation, the coach will encourage the teen to have the family come together in a supportive atmosphere of mutual respect so both parties are able to express themselves and allow time to resolve any conflict as well as achieve productive communication. However, this will not be forced when the teen is the client, unless the teen or others are in danger.
